To set DHCP and DNS on a client host, follow these steps based on your operating system:
For Windows, go to **Control Panel > Network and
Internet > Network and Sharing Center**. Click on your connection, then
select **Properties**, highlight **Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)**,
and click **Properties**. Here, select "Obtain an IP address automatically"
for DHCP, and "Obtain DNS server address automatically" for DNS. For
static settings, choose "Use the following IP address" and enter your
values.
For macOS, go to **System Preferences > Network**,
select your network interface, then click **Advanced**. Under the **TCP/IP**
tab, set "Configure IPv4" to "Using DHCP." Switch to the
**DNS** tab to enter DNS addresses manually or leave it blank to obtain them
automatically. Ensure to save changes and restart the network connection
if necessary.
